To ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in customer building installations, all electrical products and equipment must be approved by EWA. This includes items such as household switches, Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, distribution boards, LV cables and wires, as well as building automation systems.

Application Process

Submit application and required documents as soft copies at EWA’s Customer Care Building (CCB) in Um Al Hassam.

Receive submission acknowledgement email; resubmission may be required if any documents are missing or need revision.

Receive approval letter by email.
Documents Required
- Electrical Equipment Licensing Form
- Technical Drawings
- Commercial Registration Certificate
- Letter of Authorization from the manufacturer
- Technical Datasheets and catalogues
- Type Test Reports and Certificates from an independent accredited testing Laboratory
- Laboratory Scope of Accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate of the manufacturer
- List of items in excel format
- Additional technical documents may be requested
