Ebrahim Abdulla Al Kaabi has a proven track record in the production, transmission, and distribution of water and electricity, as well as in operation and maintenance, project management, and vendor management.

Ebrahim has played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants, utilizing his expertise in selecting and deploying cutting-edge technologies.

His sound knowledge of planning and executing Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Independent Water and Power Producer (IWPP) projects has contributed significantly to the advancement of sustainable water and power production in the region. Ebrahim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from King Saud University, KSA, and an Executive MBA from the University of Bahrain.

Ali Al Nemah brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the electricity sector, specializing in transmission and distribution, with demonstrated leadership and expertise in operations and maintenance, planning, project management, and administration.

Ali has made significant contributions to the industry, earning recognition for his dedication and excellence, he received the First-Class Order of Competence by His Majesty the King, a testament to his impactful work and commitment to advancing electricity services.

Ali holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Project Management from Glamorgan University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Hertfordshire University, UK.

Ali Ashoor Abdullatif has extensive experience in energy efficiency, power system operations, renewable energy, and sustainable development.

He has held key roles such as Chairman of the National Committee for Electricity & Energy Standards in Bahrain, and President of the IEC National Commission. He also chaired the Arab Energy Efficiency Task Team under the League of Arab States.

Ali has developed several conformity assessment guidelines and procedures aligned with international standards, and represented Bahrain in various international programs, including the Middle East Group Study Program on Industrial Development and Environment in Japan, and the Energy Training Week by the International Energy Agency in Paris. Ali holds an MBA from DePaul University, USA, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, KSA.

Dr. Hiba Nayif Harara has a key role in securing reliable supplies of power and water for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Hiba manages the procurement of economically dispatched power and water from a range of sources including Independent Power and Water Producers (IPWPs) and oversees the planning and procurement of new independent power and water projects to address the kingdom's developing power generation and water desalination needs.

She also oversees EWA’s ambitious Alternative Energy development program, further enhancing Bahrain's commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Dr. Hiba holds a PhD in Economics from The University of Hull, UK, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (both with Distinction) from the University of Bahrain.

Eng. Muna Ali Al Heshemi is a leading expert in customer-centric service, technology and digital transformation.

Muna previously served as the Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and CEO of Bahrain Telecomunication Company. During her 25-year experience, she has been recognized for her focus on driving the delivery of top-quality products and digital solutions for both enterprise and consumer markets, winning a number of global and regional awards, including the “Most Influential Women Award” by Forbes Middle East and the “Trailblazer Award” by the Asian Business Leadership Forum.

Muna holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bahrain, as well as certifications in Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Financial Analysis from the prestigious London Business School, UK.

Hani Salman AlNajjar is a versatile and data-driven business process expert and transformation leader with over 25 years of hands-on experience managing ICT projects across diverse domains, including IT / OT infrastructure, ERP, CRM, banking, GIS, Smart Metering, and SCADA systems, and he oversaw award winning projects, including billing systems and electric vehicle charging stations.

Hani holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Bahrain, an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and a Diploma in Organizational Leadership from Oxford University - Saïd Business School, UK. In addition, he is a certified SAP CRM implementer, SCADA Engineer, Project Manager Professional, KYC & Antimony Laundry Practitioner, and ISO 9000 Standards Auditor.

Ahmed Najeeb Al Jamea has a robust background in customer experience and operations management, having worked in key leadership roles within electricity and water authority as well as regional leading telecommunication companies.

Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the United Arab Emirates University, and an MBA from Strathclyde University, Scotland.

Wafa Ali AlHajeri is an industry expert with more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications and utilities. She offers a wide skill set having held leading roles in customer services, technical support, and quality assurance.

Wafa holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University, and a Business Management Diploma from the University of Bahrain.

Mohammed A. Aziz Al Atawi is a knowledgeable and accomplished expert who oversees the operation and maintenance of the electricity transmission network, ensuring its stability and reliability.

Mohammed has previously held roles as Chief of Operations and System Control. Mohammed holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain. He is a member in the Operation Committee of the GCC Interconnection Authority and the Advisory and Regulatory Committee.

Mahmood Radhi Al Qumaish is a skilled and seasoned professional with extensive expertise in IT, engineering, banking, and project management across both private and public sectors.

Mahmood holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bahrain. He is also certified in PMP, MCSE, and CCNP.

Ebrahim Khalil has more than three decades of experience in the electricity distribution sector.

Since joining EWA in 1992, he has contributed to its success through various roles, including Director of the Electricity Distribution Directorate (EDD) and Chief of the Construction Section. Ebrahim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University, KSA.

Kawther S. Abbas Al Moosawi is a talented and established professional bringing over 20 years of extensive expertise and experience in customer relationship management, customer billing and collection, finance, procurement, human resources, and IT solutions.

She holds a Master of Science in E-Commerce from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain. Kawther is also a certified Solution Consultant in SCM (ERP), CRM, and Billing.

Fadi Jamal Obaid is a knowledgeable and passionate industry leader who has dedicated the last 28 years to enhancing water and energy infrastructure in the region.

His vast experience in the maintenance of RO water production and water transmission facilities and networks, combined with his expertise in Mechanical Engineering and Planning & Project Management, supports EWA’s sustainable success. Fadi holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Bahrain.

Taha Hasan Al Mohsin is an accomplished professional overseeing the effective operation and maintenance of Bahrain's water transmission system.

He focuses on optimizing the economic efficiency of desalination facilities while ensuring the highest standards of water quality throughout the transmission process. Taha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain.

S. Aqeel Alawi Shubber has a vast skill set and background that spans the planning, commissioning, and operation of power transmission and system assets.

His experience encompasses a wide range of components, including transmission lines, bus bars, transformers, switchgears, generators, motors, and power system studies. He is also well versed in substation automation and management for systems up to 400kV. S. Aqeel holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bahrain.

Yaser Mubarak Al-Romaithi is a talented HR professional. He plays a pivotal role in supporting members of the EWA team to reach their full potential.

He also oversees all HR development and engagement initiatives while ensuring full compliance with employment laws and regulations. Yaser holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from NYIT, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Technology Bahrain.

Rasha Saleh Kameshki is dedicated to the strategic development and management of water network systems.

She works to maximize the efficiency, reduce water loss and enhance the service quality of the water network. Rasha holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain and an MBA from the New York Institute Technology, along with various professional technical and management certifications.

In June 2022, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa appointed His Excellency, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed, as President of the Electricity & Water Authority (EWA). He also serves as Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and is a Board Member of the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA).

Prior to his appointment to EWA, H.E. served as Bahrain's Minister of Transportation from 2012, and later as Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications from 2014, where he oversaw the Kingdom’s transport infrastructure, telecommunications sector, and postal services. He was also appointed as Minister of Cabinet Affairs in February 2011. Earlier in his career, H.E. Kamal bin Ahmed held key roles at the Economic Development Board (EDB), including Chief Operating Officer.

H.E. has held several other significant positions, including Chairman of Gulf Air Group Holding Company, Chairman of the Education and Training Quality Authority, Board member of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company and Board Member of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).

H.E. holds a Master’s degree in International Project Management from Leeds University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bahrain.
