Golden Shield as Zayed Customer Service Center Earns Top Gold Rating
His Excellency Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), affirmed that the continuous directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at enhancing government services and fostering a competitive environment, have significantly elevated the quality of services provided by the Authority to its customers, fulfilling their expectations.
This statement came during the receipt of the Golden Shield award for the Zayed City Customer Service Center, presented by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive Officer of the Information & eGovernment Authority and Chair of the Government Service Centers Evaluation Committee. The award recognizes the center’s achievement of the highest “Gold” category under the Government Service Centers Evaluation Program “Taqyeem 4.”
His Excellency highlighted the Authority’s commitment to continuously developing the customer service sector as part of its strategy that places the customer at the heart of all services. He emphasized that the Authority is actively implementing a comprehensive development plan to improve services across various channels, with the center’s gold rating reflecting the progress and excellence the Authority aims to sustain in the coming phase.
He further noted the Authority’s efforts to diversify customer service channels to facilitate access for all community segments. Currently, five service channels are available, including the prominent e-services portal via the national platform bahrain.bh, the virtual branch channel enabling customers to complete transactions remotely without visiting any physical branch, alongside physical customer service branches, a 24/7 call center, and a home-visit service for the elderly and people of determination.
His Excellency also expressed his appreciation for the dedication and efforts of the center’s staff in advancing the operational framework. He stressed the importance of continuing to adopt global best practices in customer service, maintaining the highest quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction with the services provided.
