EWA participates in Sports Day activities
Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), highlighted that Bahrain Sports Day serves as an opportunity to promote well-being and embed physical activity as a key part of daily life.
He commended the Cabinet’s decision, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to designate February 20 as a half-working day for government employees to encourage participation in sports activities.
He underscored the importance of investing in health and sports initiatives that encourage sustainable and active lifestyles, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering a healthier, more dynamic society.
EWA celebrated the occasion in collaboration with the General Sports Authority (GSA) under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of GSA, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
