During A Meeting with the Arab Renewable Energy Commission, EWA's President Assumed Bahrain’s Presidency of the Commission

During a meeting between the President of the Electricity and Water Authority and the delegation of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission.

 The Kingdom of Bahrain assumes presidency of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission.

His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), received His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Nawaf Al-Taani, Secretary-General of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission, and Mr. Kamel Al-Daqamsa, the Commission’s Financial and Administrative Director, during their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to formally hand over the presidency of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission to His Excellency for the upcoming four-year term (2025–2028).

On this occasion, His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the visiting delegation and all member states for their trust, praising the achievements of the Commission in advancing joint Arab efforts in the field of renewable energy.

During the meeting, His Excellency reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the Commission’s efforts and strengthening its role as an active Arab platform for driving the transition to clean energy. He emphasized that Bahrain will continue to work on developing joint initiatives and projects and expanding cooperation among member states to enhance Arab integration in the renewable energy sector and keep pace with regional and global developments in this vital field.

It is worth noting that the Arab Renewable Energy Commission was established in 2011 and is headquartered in Amman, Jordan. It aims to promote the effective use of clean renewable energy across the Arab world, raise awareness, and encourage investment in the sector to generate positive returns for Arab countries.
